I make it sound like Overwatch is a living breathing person in the title, and it were, then it would be filthy rich! Like…Scrooge McDuck rich!
Last month Blizzard announced that it had achieved 30 million players which is no small feat. Now in their first quarter report they announced that “Overwatch is now the 8th billion-dollar franchise in Activision Blizzard’s portfolio”. Obviously this isn’t really all that surprising, but if anything it shows that Overwatch still has staying power after a year and with it’s constant updates, and ever changing event content, it’s hard to say how long it will be before Overwatch hit’s the number decline.
