Marvel just dropped more Doomsday footage, and most of it is stuff we haven’t seen yet!
Marvel is back with another Avengers: Doomsday trailer, landing Saturday right on the heels of that World Series crossover promo. It’s a short one, but unlike a lot of trailers it isn’t just rehashing the July footage. Fresh stuff!
Most of the spotlight goes to Thor and Steve Rogers, and yes, that includes the two of them being worthy of Mjolnir again. Thor looks like he’s running the show, rallying the troops against Doctor Doom, while Steve gets a big moment in front of a packed room of heroes: Bucky, Sam, Yelena, Shang-Chi, Ant-Man and more.
Speaking of Ant-Man, Paul Rudd brings the laughs with a gag about just how many people have carried Captain America’s shield these days. Sam and John Walker get dragged into it, and honestly, it’s well earned.
Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters December 18, with the Russo brothers back in the director’s chair and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
Personally, this is the first trailer that really sells the Thor and Steve reunion as the heart of the movie, and we’re pretty damn ready for December.
